The number of US exhibitors registered for the first China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is much higher than expected, accounting for 20 percent of all foreign exhibitors, underscoring deepening China-US cooperation in stabilizing global supply chains, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the co-organizer of the expo, said on Tuesday during a press conference.
The CISCE, which will be held from November 28 to December 2 in Beijing, will have 26 percent international exhibitors from 55 countries and regions, of which 36 percent will be US and European companies, said the CCPIT.
Covering an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, the expo will set up five major chains and supply chain service zones, such as intelligent automobile chain, green agriculture chain, clean energy chain, digital technology chain and healthy life chain.
US companies will participate in all six sub-exhibitions. Amazon, ExxonMobil, Apple, FedEx, Tesla, General Medical, Intel, HP, Qualcomm, Honeywell and a number of global 500 and multinational companies will send senior representatives to the expo, Zhang Shaogang, vice chairman of the CCPIT, said during the Tuesday press conference.
Zhang said that many US enterprises regard the expo as a product debut platform, and will display new products, technologies and services.
For example, Honeywell will showcase auxiliary power units for wide-body aircraft for the first time, and GE Healthcare will showcase its safe, stable, visible and touchable international supply chain for the first time with production, supply and overseas marketing chains, according to Zhang.
Enterprises from South Africa, Canada, Japan, Vietnam, African Union countries, Portuguese-speaking countries, and Latin American and Caribbean countries will also participate in the CISCE in the form of national and regional booths, said Zhang.
A total of 515 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions will participate in the CISCE, displaying new technologies, new products and new services in the key links of the global supply chain, the vice chairman said.
"With our designed matching system, we have matched more than 30 buyers with more than 200 exhibitors each. A number of exhibitors have already booked booths at the second CISCE," said Zhang.
At a previous press conference, Lin Shunjie, chairman of the China International Exhibition Center Group, a co-organizer of the CISCE, said that the organizers ultimately will only choose 300-400 companies as exhibitors, and each supply chain exhibition area will only have 50-60 companies.

To facilitate the transport of oversea exhibits, the event transportation team has provided door-to-door comprehensive logistics services from the exhibitor's factory to the booth, ensuring a worry-free and secure exhibition experience, the Global Times learned from the CCPIT.
The event will also unveil a Global Supply Chain Promotion Report, which aims to provide valuable insights and support for the sustainable and steady growth of the global supply chain.
According to the CCPIT, the CISCE is the world's first supply chain-themed exhibition at the national level, with the aim of providing an international platform for advancing orderly and efficient industrial synergy across countries.
China is not only the beneficiary and defender of the integrated development of global supply chains, but also the explorer and builder of a new ecology of global supply chains, playing a pivotal role in the global manufacturing and supply chain system, said the CCPIT.
