A young man born in the 1990s in Tonglu, East China's Zhejiang Province, has caught the attention of netizens with some videos he uploaded on a video website. He uses rice paper as the main material to vividly recreate legendary mythical creatures such as the tiger dragon, ox, and green phoenix in front of everyone.
During his school days, Feng Zerui had learned how to draw, but after starting work, he developed a love for origami art. By chance, he had a sudden idea to create art based on an ordinary origami crane, producing works that were more three-dimensional and layered. After sharing them on his social media platforms, he received unanimous praise. This accidental success immediately gave Feng a direction to strive for. He began to study ancient Chinese classics, aspiring to create a series of works full of Oriental cultural characteristics.
The book Classic of Mountains and Seas caught Feng's attention. Seeing the descriptions of strange birds and beasts in the book, his imagination quickly unfolded, and his passion and inspiration for creation burst forth. And so, the combination of traditional origami and the ancient Chinese classic work sparked artistic brilliance.
After struggling for at least half a month, and sometimes even a month, Feng finally released the painstakingly crafted works, stunning people's eyes.
