China officially announced to join the High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People on Saturday, the day when holding the Nature Day event of COP28 at Dubai. The coalition is now supported by nearly 100 countries, evolving into a new phase to support implementation of the global goal to protect at least 30% of the world’s land and at least 30% of the world’s ocean by 2030, according to its official website.
