Bilingual manuscripts of Mingxin baojian, also known as the Mirror of the Mind, were highlighted in an event on December 13 in Beijing on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and China.

Mingxin baojian, also known as the Mirror of the Mind, was the first book translated from Chinese into a Western language by Catholic priest Juan Cobo in 1592.

In order to study the Chinese language and understand Chinese culture, Cobo translated the Mingxin baojian, a book written in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) into Spanish.

During the event, Spanish Ambassador to China Rafael Dezcallar de Mazarredo, director of the National Library of Spain, Ana Santos Aramburo, and deputy director of the National Library of China, Chen Yin attended the event and shared the book's prominent historical meaning.
