The 6.2-magnitude earthquake that jolted Jishishan county in Northwest China's Gansu Province late Monday evening has killed 117 people in Gansu and 31 in neighboring Qinghai Province so far, local authorities said on Friday.

As of 8 am Friday, the earthquake had injured 781 people in Gansu and 198 in Qinghai, media reported, citing local authorities.

On-site search and rescue work in Gansu has ended, and after repeated checks, it has been confirmed that there are no missing persons. The focus has now turned to the resettlement of affected people and the treatment of the injured, local authorities told a press conference on Friday.

Three people are still missing in Haidong city of Qinghai Province after a landslide swept Minhe county. The affected area is about 50,000 to 60,000 square meters, with a depth of up to five meters. The rescue team has been working round the clock to open up 12 rescue channels at five rescue points, according to the press conference.

A total of 506 firemen, 112 fire trucks, 14 search and rescue dogs, and more than 30,000 pieces of equipment and supplies have been used in the rescue work in Haidong, according to the press conference.
