Ink Splendor and Culture Context - Exhibition of Selected Ancient Paintings Collected by Jilin Provincial Museum has opened its doors in Beijing. Organized by the Jilin Provincial Museum and the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), it marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the latter.

The exhibition spans two phases, showcasing works from the Song (960-1279) to Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The collection includes scroll paintings and small fan-shaped pieces, presenting a rich diversity of artistic styles.

Wu Weishan, director of the NAMOC, emphasized that the exhibition is a beneficial exploration of a new paradigm for cooperation between museums and art galleries in the new era.

It also serves as a proactive promotion of the creative transformation and innovative development of China's outstanding traditional culture, aiming to present the millennia-old treasures and allow audiences to experience the humanistic sentiments and artistic charm within them, Wu added.
