Hussain Al Hammadi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China, recently graced the Belt and Road International Forum on Vocational Education in North China's Hebei Province, where he delivered an address during the forum.
Ambassador Hammadi also engaged in discussions with Chinese representatives during the gathering, focusing on the prospective collaborations between the UAE and China in the realm of vocational education.
Under the theme of Enhancing Adaptability and Modernization of Vocational Education in the Service of Jointly Contributing to the Belt and Road, the forum unfolded in the locales of Baoding and Xiong'an, on December 20 and 21, 2023.
Spanning a comprehensive two days, the event featured an array of activities, including the inaugural ceremony, a keynote forum, dialogues and exchanges between China and other nations, as well as experience sharing, project promotion, and vocational education cooperation.
Moreover, the agenda comprised parallel sub-forums and immersive on-site discussions, complemented by traditional Chinese cultural performances.
Throughout the two-day event, participants delved into 100 international cooperation cases among Belt and Road partner countries along with narratives recounting 100 stories regarding Silk Road vocational education over the last decade.
More than 500 individuals from 27 countries were in attendance, representing government officials, diplomatic corps members, and chambers of commerce delegates.
In addition, representatives from 24 international organizations, leading global enterprises, foreign academic institutions, as well as local government bodies, industry-education integration enterprises, and vocational college representatives from China, collectively enriched the proceedings of the forum.
