A husky living in southern China attracted attention online after chasing a horse-drawn carriage for five kilometers on Monday in Changbai Mountain in Northeast China's Jilin Province, according to media reports on Monday.

The owner of the husky said that after seeing the snow, it ran for half an hour to catch up with the carriage; and if she hadn't used her own foot as the brake, the husky would have overtaken the carriage. "It made me feel like I was sledding!"

The owner, who has always lived in the southern part of the country, said that the husky had never seen so much snow before. "It's really fun when it is pulling me around. I think that's the point of having a sled dog, that I'm happy when it's happy," the owner said.

Netizens commented that the husky, who was frolicking in the snow, was both brave and cute, and some even expressed their desire to witness the speed of this "snow athlete" in person.
