A new exhibition at Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum (CAFAM), Emerging Within the Wild, is a new experimental project, which explores not only physical space, but also mental space.

In terms of physical space, the exhibition is located in the exhibition hall on the second-and-a-half floor of CAFAM. One end of it connects two long corridors leading to different floors of the museum, while the other end is like a closed bridge spanning the curved wall of the museum. In this unique space, it seems like a lonely island, which is thought-provoking.

In terms of psychological space, the exhibition creates associations through works of the two artists Wang Xiangjie and Cheng Yuyang. These works show lonely people having a dialogue with loneliness.

According to the curator, Geng Jinghua, the dialogue and exchange between the two artists allow visitors to seek an understanding to their anxieties about life.

The exhibition is set to run until February 25.
