All-China Journalists Association hosts New Year Party for Chinese, foreign press

The All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) held the 2024 Chinese and Foreign Press New Year Party at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) on Tuesday. More than 260 heads of China's major news organizations, domestic and foreign journalists, and foreign envoys in China participated in the event. He Ping, chairman of the association, delivered a welcome speech, while Liu Siyang, vice chairman of ACJA and secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of ACJA, hosted the event.

In his speech, He said that 2023 was the beginning year for China to comprehensively build a modern socialist country. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, 1.4 billion Chinese people are full of spirit and have been working hard to build a strong country and revitalize the nation, sweating hard, dedicating their wisdom and strength, taking solid steps and painting a magnificent picture for the future.

He also said that the media and journalists are the windows and eyes of the world to understand China and are the bridge and link to enhance friendship between people from different countries. For journalists, reporting on China truthfully, objectively and comprehensively is a basic professional ethic, and keeping the well-being of the people and the future of mankind in mind is a noble pursuit. ACJA is willing to work together with Chinese and foreign journalists to let the world better understand China and promote the building of a harmonious community with a shared future, to promote the common values of all mankind, and to make unremitting efforts to build a better world.
