Recently, at a performance competition in Chongli Winter Olympic Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou, North China's Hebei Province, a 52-year-old woman named "Captain Mengmeng," appeared on a snowboard wearing Sailor Moon costume.
As she turned, her two golden braids fluttered in the wind, causing cheers from onlookers. According to media reports, "Captain Mengmeng" is 52 years old and this year marks her ninth year of skiing. She believes that age is just a number and does not want to be defined by it.
"Captain Mengmeng," is from Northeast China's Heilongjiang. On Monday, she told reporters that this year is her ninth year of skiing and she chose the Sailor Moon image because it is one of her favorite anime characters. When asked about her connection with skiing, Meng said that before the age of 40, she was a freelancer and not good at sports. Later, as her children grew up and participated in various sports courses, she often accompanied them.
Gradually, she developed an interest in sports and started trying them out. "Badminton, running, fitness, jet skiing, bowling and more, I have tried many," Meng recalled. Nine years ago, she started skiing, from initially being unable to stand on snow to gradually being able to ski independently, and now she has reached a semi-professional level. Over the past nine years, she has trained almost every winter and follows online videos for core training to maintain a good physical condition.
