The immersive exhibition Horizon of
Khufu kicked off in Beijing on Sunday. The exhibition hosted by Live Moment and HTC VIVE takes the visitors on an immersive expedition of the Great Pyramid of Giza through high-tech VR equipment.
According to Chinese organizer Live Moment, visitors can travel back to 4,500 years ago to attend the funeral of King
Khufu, a genuinely emotional journey into the heart of Egyptian culture. All the information provided in the experience is based on architectural, scientific and historical data.
Raphaël Lemée from the production company Excurio in France said that the landing of Horizon of
Khufu in Beijing is a big step, as it "gives us confidence to continue innovating on immersive experiences, promote this new entertainment form and bring more surprises to audiences in China and around the world."
According to Tian Dazhi, founder of Live Moment, the combination of high-quality content and leading technology will become the mainstream model for the digital transformation of the cultural tourism industry.
The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Cultural exchanges between the two countries play an irreplaceable role in this relationship. The exhibition presented by teams from China and France is a new part of these exchanges.
