On February 18th, the reporter learned from the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company that the Henan Charging Smart Service Platform showed that during the 2024 Spring Festival holiday, there were 1.0617 million charging times for electric vehicles in Henan, with a total charging volume of 27.955 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 49% compared to 2023, reaching a record high. This is equivalent to reducing the consumption of 92-octane gasoline by 3.246 million liters.

In recent years, Henan has adhered to the new energy security strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation", insisted on the development direction of networking, digitization, and intelligence, promoted the scientific layout and construction of charging infrastructure, accelerated the construction of a moderately advanced, balanced, intelligent, and efficient charging infrastructure system and a public charging network covering cities, counties, and townships, coordinated the construction and operation management of charging infrastructure, and achieved deep integration and development of people, vehicles, piles, and networks, continuously improving the ability to serve the economic and social development of the province. According to statistics from the Henan Charging Smart Service Platform, there are currently 231 operator platforms, 6,494 public charging stations, and 70,885 charging piles accessed.

It is understood that in order to ensure the charging of electric vehicles during the Spring Festival holiday, the State Grid Henan Electric Power Company implemented 7×24-hour platform monitoring, established a supervision mechanism for real-time fault piles and busy fault piles, arranged maintenance personnel to station at hotspots and stations during peak hours to assist customers in charging, and accumulated a total of 779 maintenance personnel on duty, completing 729 patrols and handling 849 fault repair work orders, providing strong power support for the safe travel of electric vehicles during the holiday.
