The Grammy Award-winning trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti will lead a performance at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing on Saturday, marking the resumption of his world tour titled "Volume One".
For almost three decades, Botti has been one of the world's most sought-after instrumentalists, with a versatile, open-ended style of music that is jazzy, classical, and poppy, always delivering surprises. With his handsome appearance and superb playing, he has taken the jazz world by storm, becoming one of the most successful jazz crossover pop stars.
At his Beijing leg, Botti will perform pieces from his latest album "Volume 1" and focus on acoustic jazz and classic jazz.
For the volume, he said that he loved to hear cinematic quality music. It is important to him that all the performing needs to be beautiful and elegant.
