A number of TV and film studios from the Chinese mainland are taking center stage at the 2024 Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FilMart), which ended in-person events on Thursday but will continue online until April.
As the Chinese mainland entertainment industry has been developing fast and garnering more international attention, these studios hope to take more and more productions to international markets through FilMart. Meanwhile, there will also be more Chinese and overseas cooperation projects.
In addition to the launch of the Hong Kong Cultural and Art Industry Revitalization Program, which aims to fund a new Hong Kong creative industry, other promotional and showcase events have seen various different prospects of the fast developing Chinese TV and film industry.
Shanghai is showcasing its screen productions ranging from the popular TV versions of
The Three-Body Problem to Blossoms Shanghai by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai, while East China's Shandong Province is promoting its excellent film and TV works.

China's streaming giant Mango TV and Vietnam's media group YeaH1 reached a strategic cooperation agreement for the production and distribution of high-quality content after the success of the hit show
Sister Riding the Wind and Waves.
The cooperation marks a period of strong and extensive cooperation between the two corporations in all aspects, from script transfer, experience in creating original content, production management processes and training and talent development.
Phuong Thao, president of YeaH1, said she was honored to be chosen by Mango TV as a comprehensive strategic partner in the new period and commented that YeaH1 is always actively innovating and steadfastly promoting high-quality content on multiple platforms.
