The world's top musicals, including
The Phantom of the Opera,
School of Rock and
Mamma Mia!, are set to be staged at the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, according to a release by the center. In addition to these performances, the center will also hold dance dramas, theater plays and other experimental productions.
The center will stage 10 musicals with the aim of making "watching musicals at Tianqiao" become deeply rooted in the hearts of audiences. The second dance performance season will see tradition meet modernity in a series of dance performances. The annual spring arts festival, which started in early March, will see a total of more than 20 performances.
Chinese original musicals will also be staged soon as well as dance drama
Nine Songs and drama
Li Bai, which focuses on the great Chinese poet.
The center will also work with various centers for youth arts training. In July, two children's versions of Broadway musicals will be staged at the center.
