Outstanding vocal works of ethnic minorities in 2024 were performed in Guilin, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Highlighting the recent innovative developments in vocal art among ethnic minorities, the event showcased a total of 34 participating works with the aim of promoting outstanding traditional Chinese culture, unearthing and inheriting excellent traditional vocal arts of various ethnic groups, and fostering innovative integration.
Participants from 23 different ethnic groups gave a diverse range of performances, including solo, choir, and duet singing. Among them are teachers, workers, farmers, folk artists, as well as professionals from arts groups and universities, along with renowned cultural figures.
This event, which has been held twice before, also included outreach performances in local communities and schools during its duration.
