On April 29th, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province held a grand ceremony at the National Supercomputing Center in Zhengzhou to award the titles of provincial green data centers for 2023. Attendees included leading experts and officials such as Zhao Hongtai, Chief Engineer of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province, and Professor Yang Tianruo, Deputy President of Zhengzhou University. After rigorous evaluation, the Data Center of the State Grid Henan Power Company was among the eight organizations that were honored with the title of "Henan Province Green Data Center" in the first batch, setting a benchmark for green data center construction in the province.

Senior Expert Chen Jun from the State Grid Henan Information and Communication Company, went on stage to receive the award and delivered a speech on behalf of the company’s winning unit. He stated that this honor is both recognition of their hard work and motivation to keep endeavoring toward resolutely implementing the decisions of the provincial Party committee and government, integrating digital transformation and the green low-carbon transformation strategy with enterprise development, creating a green data center with "low resource consumption, high energy utilization, and strong operation and maintenance capabilities," in order to deeply tap the value of power big data, drive intelligent transformation, and promote the high-quality development of the digital economy in the energy sector.

This also signifies a significant breakthrough for the State Grid Henan Power Company in the integration of digital development and green and low-carbon actions. Next, the State Grid Henan Power Company will take this award as an opportunity to further strengthen the research and development of green technologies in data centers, continue to increase investment, adhere to innovation-driven development, strengthen technical research, development, and talent training, and to help achieve the national "double carbon" goal as soon as possible.
