During the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holidays from Saturday to Monday, Air China held special events across multiple airports in China with a theme of experiencing traditional culture and customs, in order to celebrate the festival with passengers.

The events were held in VIP lounges at airports in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, Chengdu in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, Hangzhou and Wenzhou in East China's Zhejiang Province, and other major cities.

Air China arranged activities including making zongzi, glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves, as well as making Chinese traditional fans and colorful woven bracelets representing good wishes.

The company also prepared hand-made fragrant bags filled with tea leaves for passengers. The tea was harvested from Shaoping, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,  the company said.

Passengers could also make special postcards for their friends and families, which will be delivered by Air China.

Air China has been making efforts to include more Chinese traditional culture in its lounges, such as decorations in the lounges at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, and airports in Hangzhou and Guiyang in Southwest China's Guizhou.

In addition, Air China together with the China Academy of Arts jointly launched multiple art exhibitions at various airports, further showcasing Chinese culture and optimizing passengers' flight experience.
