Set to run until September, the
Era of Encore exhibition has opened at the Beijing Times Art Museum. Focusing on the creations of artists born in the 1990s, the exhibition showcases 70 works from 32 artists. Twenty-six of the works were created specifically for this exhibition.
Exhibition curator Bao Dong said during the opening ceremony that the title
Era of Encore signifies how the exhibition aims to lead the art world beyond the confines of prices and popularity to explore a deeper sense and understanding of art. The exhibition seeks to spark discussions and resonance within the art community about the creative expression of young Chinese artists and explore how their creations in this new era can help the world better understand China.
Divided into four sections, the exhibition explores the works of 1990s-born artists from the perspectives of art, technology, society and aesthetics. By analyzing the historical context from the late 1980s to the present, the exhibition examines the diversity and commonalities of these artists, attempting to showcase their artistic expressions in the context of technological iteration and globalization.
