Morgulov said that "Russia and China have become friends for no other reason than the fact that the two countries are in line with each other's fundamental long-term development goals and both countries are a guarantee for maintaining stability in the world."

Peng Qinghua, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, attended the reception.

In his speech, Peng said that China is ready to work with Russia to follow the consensus reached by the two heads of state and take the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations as the main line of the development of bilateral relations this year. Both countries need to seize opportunities and promote cooperation, to contribute to each other's development and revitalization.

As part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the "Russian Heart" Cultural and Art Festival opened at Beijing Exhibition Center in Beijing on June 14. Artists and business leaders convened to develop business opportunities and enjoy the cultural exchange between the two countries.

Participants were offered a unique journey through Russian culture via fashion shows, gastronomical competitions, concert programs, master classes, quizzes, and immersive performances.

The festival aims to develop the Chinese market with a variety of Russian products and create opportunities for Chinese investors.

Irkutsk, one of the biggest regions in Russia, held an event for investment and business cooperation for Chinese visitors.

Igor Kobzev, governor of Irkutsk, said that the region has enormous resources for tourism.

At least 20 regions of the Russian Federation bring exhibits featuring folk arts, crafts, traditional clothing, modern fashion and textiles.

The organizers of the festival told the Global Times that the event aims to include both traditional and modern elements of Russian culture, with the aim of enhancing understanding between the two peoples, and appreciating each other's culture.
