People were dumbfounded recently as they came across an unnoticed dangerous grenade which has been mistakenly used by a 90-year-old woman as a hammer to pound peppercorns, crack walnuts, and hammer nails for as long as 20 years in Xiangyang, Central China's Hubei Province.
The elderly woman said that she picked up the grenade while farming more than 20 years ago. At that time, she had no idea what it was, so she took it home.
The woman frequently used the deadly grenade as a hammer to pound peppercorns, crack walnuts, and even hammer nails, she said.
Onlookers and local police were rendered speechless when they heard the news, according to a video circulating online.
One netizen wondered how the granny controlled her strength, noting that she might obtain a "soft-hearted" grenade. There are also netizens who mimic being the grenade in social media comments, joking that they've been in disguise for over 20 years only because the grandma assumed that it was a hammer.
Luckily, safety concerns have been eliminated without causing any mishaps.
