The 29th Consumer Fair of Brunei opened at the International Convention Center on Wednesday, along with the Thailand Grand Fair and other events, attracting over 250 exhibitors and nearly 600 booths.

Foreign vendors brought a wide variety of goods and services from around the world while visitors enjoyed shopping for snacks, jewelry, and traditional handicrafts at the Thailand Grand Fair and experiencing new off-road vehicles and SUVs at the Chinese brand booth.

The Consumer Fair was themed "Back From The Future." Chui San Ting, head of Corporate Communication at D'Sunlit Sdn Bhd, highlighted the importance of facilitating entry procedures for small businesses and international vendors, which could position Brunei as a prime business location in the near future, Borneo Bulletin reported.

Brunei is a small, oil-rich country located in the northern part of the Borneo island, with a small population of 450,000 and a high level of social welfare. In recent years, the Sultanate has been committed to promoting economic diversification and consumer markets.
