While the US and Western leaders gathered in Washington to mark NATO's 75th anniversary on Tuesday, their efforts to showcase "strength" and "unity" are being overshadowed by increasing internal divisions on global issues, which make analysts view this year's NATO summit as "outwardly tough but inwardly brittle."

NATO’s core task is to support US’ hegemonic ambitions, Sevim Dagdelen, the foreign affairs spokesperson for the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance grouping in the German Bundestag, said in an exclusive interview with the Global Times.

Chinese observers on Tuesday blasted an EU official's allegation that China had not sought consultations on electric vehicle (EV) tariffs until recently despite the EU's attempts to engage for months.

Paul Mike Ashton, an active American video blogger on social media, said he genuinely enjoys filming travel videos about China and hopes to attract more foreigners to experience Chinese culture through his videos, in an interview with the Global Times.
