The new web series Dashing Youth has grabbed the attention of young audiences after debuting on Chinese streaming site Youku.

Zhou Munan, the show's screenwriter, said that he attempted to continue Chinese literary giant Jin Yong's spiritual core of "a chivalrous person serving the country and the people," while focusing more on showing characters' inner perseverance and protecting their loved ones, relatives and friends, which will vividly help display this spirit.

The new web series is adapted from Zhou's novel of the same name, which tells the story of a group of young people with ambitions to help each other reach new heights as they make their way into the world.

Zhou Zhaozhong, the chief producer, said that Youth New Martial Arts is the creative core of Zhou Munan's youth wuxia series. In Zhou Munan's view, the core of new martial arts dramas is the feeling of being young.

The story focuses on group portraits of young people, showing the characters and other young people's growth process, striving to build a world of martial arts and chivalrous spirit in the hearts of today's young people.
