The campaign highlights the diversity and richness of Colombia, both cultural and natural.

In his keynote speech, Colombian Ambassador to China Sergio Cabrera extended a cordial invitation to the agencies present and to all participants to visit Colombia and experience the beauty firsthand.

Cumbia and vallenato are not just musical genres; they are the soul and heart of our country. Their rhythms and melodies tell stories of love, joy, struggle and hope.

"This traditional music connects us with our roots, with Colombia's diversity and cultural richness, and allows us to share an essential part of our identity with the world," he said.

In the year 2024, Colombia will host the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, which will take place in Cali from October 21 to November 1, the ambassador remarked.

Cumbia, with its African, indigenous and Spanish influences, is a genre born in Colombia and has spread throughout Latin America. Moreover, vallenato, born in the warm lands of the Colombian Caribbean, has influenced other artistic expressions in the country.
