The second Spirit of Zhong - Contemporary Chinese Design and Craft Exhibition organized by Rong Bao Zhai opened on Saturday at the Sea World Culture and Arts Center in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province.    

Centered on the theme of "The Beauty of Continuity," the exhibition explores the fusion of traditional Chinese culture with modern design and production, showcasing the unique charm of contemporary Chinese design and craftsmanship.

Liu Wenbin, deputy director of the Shenzhen Municipal Publicity Department, stated that the exhibition not only highlights the innovative achievements of contemporary Chinese design and craft but also contributes to the development of local cultural and artistic endeavors in Shenzhen.

Curators Zhou Bo noted that the exhibition's theme embodies the core spirit of traditional Chinese philosophy and design aesthetics, demonstrating the ongoing evolution and innovation in Chinese design through its four sections: Vitality, Essence, Context, and Dynamism. 

Vitality showcases the changes in design culture brought about by new techniques and concepts; Essence reflects the dialogue between nature and human philosophy; Context emphasizes the balance between design and art across tradition and modernity; and Dynamism illustrates the pursuit of aesthetic refinement in contemporary Chinese design and production.
