A shopping mall in Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality held a lifestyle festival on Sunday, where participants could win a share of 8,888 yuan by laying down for up to four hours.

Those who lied flat for 30 minutes also received prizes. According to an online video posted by a netizen, many people were lying on a series of beds arranged in the open space of the mall, with both adults and children participating.

As reported by the media, participants were not allowed to use cell phones, leave their beds, or sleep during the activity, but were allowed to read books.

Some netizens commented that living with a sense relaxation course was important, and they found this competition to be amusing. One individual said that the event offers a fun way to experience a laid-back lifestyle while also having the opportunity to earn money from it.

According to media reports, the public can sign up every Sunday in August.
