On Monday, a video of a woman crying on the ground after returning from a bathroom break during a ride queue at Shanghai Disney Resort went viral.

The woman had exceeded the 20-minute time limit set by the "bathroom pass" rule and got into a dispute with park staff, which sparked debate over the rule's fairness.

According to media reports, the "bathroom pass" is a queue system designed to maintain order and ensure a good experience for most visitors, with the time limit set at 20 minutes.

The case quickly became the most searched topic on social media. Some netizens questioned the dignity of having to follow such strict rules even after paying for the experience.

While some argue that the rules are too harsh, especially in a crowded theme park like Disneyland, others believe that visitors should plan ahead and follow the rules set by the park.

On Tuesday, Chinese media outlet cqcb.com quoted a staff member from the culture, sports, and tourism bureau of Pudong New Area in Shanghai as saying that due to the high volume of visitors, there may be congestion in certain areas, and resort staff should improve crowd control and assistance with queues.

Some insiders stated that there is a need to consider the practical needs of visitors, such as women, the elderly, children, and the distribution of toilets in the park. They advised visitors to be aware of the rules, plan their time wisely, and anticipate potential risks. It is important to show understanding and tolerance towards park staff.
