On August 14th, on the occasion of National Ecology Day, the State Grid Anji County Power Supply Company hosted a series of animal protection and electricity conservation activities at Longshan Sports Center’s square. These efforts focused on raising awareness about the protection of small salamanders and promoting ecological conservation among citizens.

This year's National Ecological Day, observed on August 15th, revolved around the theme of "Accelerating the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development". The State Grid Anji County Power Supply Company actively fulfills its social responsibility, organizing "Carbon Youth" volunteers to engage with the community, conducting educational outreach on ecological protection, and encouraging public participation in preserving the environment.

During the event, the company promoted the concept of green and low-carbon development to the public through display boards, by posting promotional posters, and distributing brochures. Representatives of the firm explained the origins of the Ecological Day and introduced the audience to salamander protection measures. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of ecological protection, green power grid development, and electricity conservation.

At the same time, the "Carbon Youth" volunteers patiently and meticulously answered questions from the audience and provided suggestions on issues of common concern to the public, such as electricity and electricity prices, policies for new energy vehicles going to rural areas, energy conservation and emissions reduction, and called on the public to establish low-carbon and environmental awareness, cultivate energy-saving and consumption reducing habits, and promote the formation of green and low-carbon production and lifestyle.

In recent years, the State Grid Anji County Power Supply Company has relied on the "Green Electric Ark" public welfare project, which involves increasing efforts to protect endangered wildlife, build an independent zero carbon microgrid, and set up dedicated transformers near the protection station to connect to the power supply through an optimal path and maximize the benefits to meet the stability and reliability of electricity use during the breeding period of small salamanders. These measures have improved the successful hatching rate of Anji small salamander to 37% and the wild survival rate to 70%.

State Grid Anji County Power Supply Company remains committed to exploring optimal solutions that could balance power grid construction with environmental protection, ensuring a harmonious coexistence between the power grid and nature, and contributing to China’s "dual carbon" goals and building a sustainable future.
