On August 13, the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company, Changzhou Municipal Committee Network Information Office and the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment jointly held an event titled "Building Scientific Consensus to Promote Green Development" to celebrate the 2024 National Ecological Day, bringing together more than 20 guests from universities, government agencies, enterprises and communities to share good things and build consensus on sustainable development.

The event was held in the "Changle Electric" brand experience point of the State Grid Changzhou Power Supply Company - the new station network Interactive Demonstration Center. The center displays typical energy use scenarios such as new-energy generation, multi-type energy storage, charging facilities, and flexible load, which can flexibly participate in grid demand response and coordinate the interaction of "source network load and storage." The guests visited six areas dedicated to intelligent energy use, shared power exchange, network storage interaction, vehicle network interaction, street lamp security, and mobile charging, and experienced first-hand cutting-edge technologies such as EV energy storage power stations and the flexible regulation of air conditioning.

This National Ecology Day event is also the first stop of a series of activities of "dispelling rumors e Departure" in Changzhou. During the event, the municipal Bureau of Ecological Environment carried out electromagnetic environment monitoring on the power distribution box, energy storage cabinet, charging piles, electric vehicles, the photovoltaic system and other power facilities of the new station network interaction center, and experts from Nanjing University of Science and Technology interpreted the electromagnetic environment control standards for the guests. Experiments have proved that the environmental indicators around power facilities are far lower than the national standard limits, which effectively responds to the rumors circulating on the internet that "power equipment radiation causes harm to the human body."

"Today we observed the experiment, and saw that the radiation of power frequency electric field and power frequency magnetic field of the power equipment is less than one percent of the national standard, almost the same as the natural background radiation. This result effectively addresses the public's misconceptions about  power equipment and electromagnetic radiation safety, and strengthens our ability to evaluate and counter misinformation," event guest Ding Chao said.

Green development is the basis of high-quality development, and the new quality productivity itself is green productivity. "We will continue to work with relevant departments and units to push forward the concept of green development, attract more people to join the development team of Changzhou's new-energy industry, so that everyone will enjoy a better living environment, a higher quality of life, and a stronger sense of happiness," said Jin Dong, director of the nuclear and radiation environment Management Division of the Changzhou Ecological Environment Bureau.
