In order to impress her grandmother, a post-1990s woman in China recently renovated an old house into a showroom with a traditional Chinese style, exemplifying the young people's commitment to cultural inheritance and innovation.

Driven by the desire to preserve the memory of the old house, Chen maintained its original appearance without making significant modifications. She started by thoroughly cleaning the room and then utilized locally available materials, such as branches from the nearby forests, fabric and wooden boards to decorate the house.

For instance, Chen creatively repurposed tree branches to hang curtains, selected wooden boards from a firewood pile to create wall hangings, and even used a traditional pickling jar as a flower vase.

To further enhance the traditional aesthetic, she displayed her own calligraphy and paintings in the room, infusing it with a sense of classical Chinese elegance.

Under Chen’s inspired remodeling, the once-abandoned house has now become a place filled with Chinese traditional art and culture heritage.
