Recent drone footage of a young Yangtze River finless porpoise chasing a knife fish was captured by a volunteer for porpoise conservation in East China' Jiangsu Province. The video clip shows a critically endangered species hunting another endangered one.

In the footage, a silver-white knife fish is seen rolling in the water, trying to dodge the porpoise's pursuit. After three or four minutes, the porpoise catches its prey.

The Yangtze finless porpoise is a national first-class protected wild animal, which is critically endangered. The knife fish in the Yangtze River is also the endangered species.

The sight reflects significant improvement in fish populations, according to the report.
