The Russian-language touring version of the musical "Anna Karenina" premiered at the Beijing Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday.

Based on renowned Russian author Leo Tolstoy's masterpiece, this musical production has been well received since its stage debut in 2016.

The award-winning musical, featuring its original cast, will run through Friday.

The Beijing Performing Arts Centre, a facility under the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), will present the original version of the legendary musical "Cats" later in November and its first original musical production, "War and Peace," in December.
