On the afternoon of October 1, within the Jiangyan Baimi Service Area of Qiyang Expressway in Jiangsu Province, staff from the State Grid Taizhou Electric Power Company conducted safety inspections on the charging pile plugs, cables, and housings within the service area to check for any abnormal heating phenomena.

They promptly eliminated hidden dangers in the operation of charging pile equipment to ensure stable charging for new energy vehicles traveling during the National Day holidays, facilitating hassle-free green travel for people returning home and tourists.

With the arrival of the National Day holidays, since September 29, the traffic volume on highways in Jiangsu Province has been steadily increasing. In the first three days of the holidays, the daily traffic volume in the Jiangyan Baimi Service Area of Qiyang Expressway in Jiangsu increased by approximately 3,000 vehicles, with a growth rate of over 27 percent, and the service area received over 20,000 vehicles per day.

To alleviate the charging pressure during this year's National Day holidays, the State Grid Taizhou Electric Power Company made advance preparations and organized scientifically, arranging operation and maintenance personnel to inspect the charging piles in highway service areas within its jurisdiction. The inspections focused on checking whether the outer casing of the charging gun cables was damaged and whether the charging piles were operating normally. Additionally, they deployed multifunctional mobile emergency charging vehicles to provide temporary charging services for vehicle owners.

"With this mobile emergency charging pile, I don't have to worry about waiting in line for charging, and the charging speed is very fast. It's almost fully charged in about thirty minutes, which greatly alleviates my range anxiety," Meng, a new energy vehicle owner from Nantong, said.

During the National Day holidays, the State Grid Taizhou Electric Power Company also arranged professionals to carry out operation and maintenance of charging facilities at key charging points within the service areas to ensure the normal use and charging efficiency of the charging equipment.
