On October 12, during the replacement of No. 2 ring main unit of 20-kilovolt Xianlin Science and Technology Line 4 in Qixia district, Nanjing, State Grid Nanjing Power Supply Company applied a 20-kilovolt power generation vehicle for the first time to supply power to Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation. This is also the first 20-kilovolt power generation operation in East China's Jiangsu Province.

To cooperate with the internal equipment renovation of this ring main unit, after many on-site investigations and discussions on technical schemes in the early stage, the company finally decided to adopt the method of one-time grid connection of a 20-kilovolt power generation vehicle to provide power supply guarantee during the renovation of the ring main unit. 

At present, there are still some 20-kilovolt distribution network line equipment in Nanjing. To improve power supply reliability, the company took the lead in purchasing the first 20-kilovolt power generation vehicle in the province this year. The 20-kilovolt power generation vehicle is about 13.75 meters long, 2.55 meters wide and 3.99 meters high. It is slightly larger than the 10-kilovolt power generation vehicle. Equipped with a 2000-kilowatt diesel generator, it is currently the emergency power supply vehicle with the largest body size, the highest voltage level and the largest power generation capacity in Jiangsu power grid. It can not only provide 20-kilovolt voltage output, but also has 10-kilovolt voltage output capability. It is often used in multi-level power protection scenarios such as large conferences and activities.

"This power generation operation means that we have the power generation capacity of full voltage levels from 0.4 kilovolts to 20 kilovolts. It is also the first time in the province to generate power on the operating 20-kilovolt line equipment, ensuring the normal power consumption of relevant enterprises and providing better power consumption experience for surrounding users." said Yang Jingzhou, deputy squad leader of the uninterrupted power operation class of State Grid Nanjing Power Supply Company.

This operation generated power for a total of 3 hours and 12 minutes, ensuring the normal power consumption of 6 box transformers of users during the renovation period.
