Accelerating the Construction of the SCO Demonstration Area: Precise Power Supply Services Provide Support
The China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (hereinafter referred to as SCODA), located in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province, launched the comprehensive construction of the "Five New Cities" in October 2023.
Over the past year, State Grid Qingdao Power Supply Company has focused on meeting the electricity demands of the "Five New Cities" construction within the SCODA, providing enterprises and projects with high-standard planning and services to support their development.
In July this year, the "Summer of SCO" event was held in the SCO International City, offering citizens a feast of fine wines and cuisines from SCO member countries. State Grid Qingdao Power Supply Company assigned specialists to participate in the organizing committee's coordination meetings and on-site working sessions to communicate and understand the power requirements for the event in advance and to develop emergency response plans for on-site power supply assurance. On opening day, the company dispatched a power protection team and emergency generator vehicles to stand by at the venue to ensure a reliable power supply.
The Haier COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Lighthouse Park is in the SCO COSMOPlat New City. In response to the many major projects within the SCODA with relatively concentrated landing times, State Grid Qingdao Power Supply Company has streamlined its service processes and established dedicated service teams to understand power needs and ensure that major projects receive a timely power supply. From January to August, the average connection time for major projects in the SCO Demonstration Zone was reduced by 30% compared to the same period last year.
The SCO Airport New City is home to the Jiaodong International Airport. Relying on its Rainbow Service Team, State Grid Qingdao Power Supply Company established a customer service team for the airport. During the peak travel period of the National Day holidays, they provided on-site power supply assurance, assisted airport maintenance personnel in inspecting the equipment at the 110 kV airport dedicated substation, and offered on-site technical support.
The SCO Banqiao New City focuses on building a base for cultural tourism exchange and development. This year, on the 15th day of the first lunar month, both a lantern exhibition and a sugar calabash fair were held here. State Grid Qingdao Power Supply Company, actively promotes energy substitution technologies to facilitate the construction of an all-electric scenic area. This initiative helps reduce management and labor costs while also enhancing the scenic area's appeal.
