China's Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Center completes first mission

At 22:48 on Saturday night, the first launch of China's first commercial space launch site, Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Center, was successfully completed. The new carrier rocket Long March-12, which carried out the first launch mission, successfully sent the two experimental satellites into their planned orbits.
 
Based on what Global Times reporter knows, the launch site is invested in, constructed, and operationally managed by Hainan International Commercial Aerospace Launch Co. 

The construction was fully completed in 878 days from the start of construction to the first launch. This launch is also the first launch with a new work station, a new rocket, a new mechanism, and a new team, posing huge challenges.

The mission was the maiden flight of the Long March-12 carrier rocket, and the first launch mission undertaken by the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site, according to the Xinhua News Agency.
