In response to media question on whether China will conduct military exercise around Taiwan island after Taiwan regional leader Lai Ching-te concludes visit to Pacific Island countries and returns to the island, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stressed at a regular press conference on Tuesday that the Taiwan question is at the core of China's core interests, and China's determination of safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity is firm and unshakable.
