Early Tuesday morning, a video surfaced online showing a mouse scurrying inside the cabin as the plane landed. The flight was 9H8356, operating the route from Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, to Xi'an city, Shaanxi Province.
Liu, a passenger on the flight, told a reporter from Jinan Daily that while he was disembarking from the Chang'an Airlines flight, he was caught by a mouse on board. After informing the flight attendants about the situation, the attendants assured him of an immediate response.
At 1:30 pm, Chang'an Airlines released a statement emphasizing the seriousness of the matter. After the plane landed, ground workers were deployed to remove the mouse, and a thorough disinfection of the aircraft was conducted simultaneously.
Later, it has been identified as a house mouse, and maintenance engineers have conducted a thorough inspection of all aircraft systems. "So far, everything is normal, and no abnormalities have been found in the aircraft systems or parts," said a staff member from Chang'an Airlines.
