In a bizarre incident in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu Province, a wild boar weighing over 300 pounds crashed through the ceiling of a residence and rampaged through the kitchen. The boar, which dropped from a storage room on the roof of Wang's house in the middle of the night, startled the family. Wang's husband, awakened by the commotion, went to investigate, only to be bitten on the toe by the boar.

After the attack, local authorities called in wildlife experts from the Hongshan Forest Zoo, who arrived with a tranquilizer gun to subdue the wild animal.

The homeowner was later taken to the hospital to receive a precautionary rabies vaccination.

Authorities are investigating the case and coordinating with relevant departments to manage the situation.

This unusual event highlights the growing concern over wildlife encroaching into urban homes and the potential risks they pose to the communities.
