China has consistently adhered to strict legal and regulatory controls over the export of all dual-use items, including drones, He Yadong, a spokesperson of China's Ministry of Commerce, said on Thursday.

When asked to comment on the reports of export control on drones to US and EU at a press conference on Thursday, He said that China adheres to international obligations and domestic laws, aiming to balance development and security.

China supports its enterprises in participating in civilian drone trade and cooperation and opposes using civilian drones for non-peaceful purposes. This stance not only helps fulfill international obligations but also enhances global supply chain security and stability, said He.

MOFCOM, along with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the General Administration of Customs and the State Cryptography Administration, jointly issued an updated export control list for dual-use items on November 15, effective on December 1. The updated list includes around 700 regulated dual-use items.
