In response to a question regarding reports that experts from China and Japan held a new round of dialogue on the discharge of nuclear-contaminated water from Fukushima on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on Thursday that the two sides had in-depth and constructive discussions regarding long-term international monitoring arrangements, as well as independent sampling and monitoring involving China and other stakeholders. This took place during the third technical dialogue on Japan's discharge of nuclear-contaminated water from Fukushima, held in Beijing, Lin said.
