On December 15, the Henan power grid officially entered its peak winter operation period. To ensure a continuous and reliable supply of electricity across the province, State Grid Henan Electric Power Company is fully committed to addressing the challenges of peak winter heating and power supply, focusing on the overall goal of ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid, the reliability of main equipment, power supply for important customers, and electricity for essential services and residents' daily needs.

To achieve this, the company is making every effort to manage the coordination of external electricity into Henan, secure coal for electricity generation, and implement load management. These actions aim to ensure energy supply for daily life and winter heating, as well as to guarantee power availability for this winter and the upcoming spring.

In response to the complex and variable winter weather, State Grid Henan Electric Power is prepared to closely monitor weather conditions, and strengthen emergency management for extreme weather events such as cold waves, strong winds, and blizzards. The company is also enhancing weather forecasting and issuing warnings for ultra-high voltage dense channels, inter-regional lines, micro-meteorology, and micro-topography sections.

Additionally, the company has strengthened the precise operations and maintenance of ultra-high voltage substations by implementing measures for cold and fire prevention. At the same time, it focuses on live detection through infrared temperature measurement and ultrasonic partial discharge, scientifically investigating and correcting hidden dangers and defects to ensure a reliable supply of electricity.

Furthermore, the company is committed to improving communication between the government and enterprises during extreme weather conditions, as well as carrying out rescue and disaster relief efforts, resource allocation, and emergency decision-making. More than 2,000 power distribution repair teams, over 3,000 repair vehicles, medium and low-voltage power generation vehicles, and emergency generators are on standby. Regular emergency drills are conducted to prepare staff and equipment for timely responses, ensuring resources are readily available at all times.

During the Spring Festival, State Grid Henan Electric Power will strictly implement the power supply guarantee system, enhancing equipment operation, maintenance, and repair services. It will ensure power supply to key locations such as tourist attractions, holiday gatherings, and large supermarkets during the Spring Festival, while also preparing for potential emergencies.

By leveraging the power supply office's location management and coordinating with the village "two committees," residents will receive information on how to better use electricity to maintain balance during peak times such as New Year's Eve and the Lantern Festival.

Additionally, the company will work to raise public safety awareness and patrol critical facilities, including line corridors, substations, and distribution rooms, to prevent damage from fireworks and firecrackers. (Wang Dan)
