Myanmar Ambassador to China Tin Maung Swe met with Shi Zhongjun, secretary-general of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) in Beijing on December 27, 2024. Both sides reviewed the achievements in 2024 thanks to the common efforts by the ACC and the Myanmar Embassy in promoting pragmatic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between ASEAN and China, as well as between Myanmar and China.

Meanwhile, both sides also agreed on pressing ahead with related cooperation in 2025, highlighting such areas as modern agriculture, tourism safety, and Chinese language training under the framework of the 2025 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China so as to better serve the future growth of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and build a China-Myanmar community of shared future.
