The Consumer Electronics Show 2025 (CES), which is set to kick off in the US city of Las Vegas on Tuesday, is expected to see a rebound in Chinese exhibitors, highlighting the efforts of Chinese technology companies to enhance their global presence amid the latest wave of technological transformation.

More than 1,300 Chinese companies are set to showcase their latest offerings in the major tech expo, according to a list on the event website. This represents an increase from the 1,115 Chinese companies registered at the CES in 2024, the South China Morning Post reported on Sunday.

Despite the geopolitical headwinds, Chinese companies have made inroads into global markets and participated in the world's major electronics show. Their confidence comes from technological advances in indigenous innovation.

Based on the preview reports from various technology media outlets, artificial intelligence (AI) application innovations will continue to take center stage at this year's CES.

From automobiles to robots, laptops, home appliances, and other consumer electronics, AI is driving the transformation of various sectors.

Whether consumers are aware of it or not, the changes brought about by AI are already apparent in terms of the development of global consumer market and industrial ecosystem. Notably, Chinese companies, capitalizing on their technological advancements and innovative capabilities, have introduced a range of competitive products and services, playing an increasingly vital role in the latest wave of industry innovation and transformation.

Chinese companies' advantages in AI application innovation cannot be overlooked. This advantage is reflected not only in the maturity of the technology but also in their precise understanding of market demands and their ability to respond swiftly. Despite the geopolitical pressures and technological blockade imposed by the US, Chinese companies have placed even greater emphasis on independent research and development and innovation capabilities, unleashing great potential for the application of AI technology.

Quite a lot of products have emerged in the market. With their exceptional performance, intelligent features, and designs tailored to user needs, they showcase the competitiveness and influence of China's AI application sectors.

For instance, Hisense is set to showcase its very latest AI technological breakthroughs by introducing a suite of premium products, including ULED MiniLED TVs, laser TVs and other smart home appliances, along with advanced applications in automative, commercial displays, healthcare and energy systems at the CES, according to its official website.

XPENG AEROHT announced on X that it will bring its "Land Aircraft Carrier" Modular Flying Car to the CES.

Behind these imaginative products lies China's robust manufacturing foundation. China possesses the most comprehensive industrial system in the world, an efficient supply chain network, and the capability for large-scale mass production. Once an innovative technology or application is validated for its feasibility and market potential, it can rapidly transition from concept to product by leveraging this powerful manufacturing engine.

This unique comprehensive advantage is the fundamental reason behind China's emergence and success in the global consumer electronics sector. Countless outstanding products, born from the collision of ideas and refined through rigorous research and development in laboratories, not only excel in the Chinese market but also transcend borders to reach the global stage, fulfilling consumers' needs. These products vividly demonstrate China's technological innovation strength and provide a continuous source of development momentum for the rise of China's tech industry.

In this context, any attempts to promote "de-Chinaization" in the consumer electronics sector appear futile, destined to fail in curbing China's rise in this field. On international stages like the CES, Chinese companies not only showcase their technological prowess and imaginative innovation capabilities but also convey to the world their determination and confidence in taking the Chinese tech industry global.
