Japanese PM Ishiba reiterates desire to visit China at an early date during talks with officials of LDP, Komeito: media

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba held talks at the Prime Minister's Official Residence on Thursday with Hiroshi Moriyama, Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party and Makoto Nishida, Secretary General of the Komeito Party of Japan. Both are scheduled to visit China from January 13, and they discussed the themes to be addressed in bilateral talks. The Prime Minister reiterated his desire to visit China at an early date, Japanese media The Nikkei reported.

Hu Zhaoming, Spokesperson of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, announced that Hiroshi Moriyama, Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party and Makoto Nishida, Secretary General of the Komeito Party of Japan will lead a delegation of the ruling parties of Japan to visit China from January 13 to 15. Both sides will jointly hold the 9th meeting of China-Japan ruling parties exchange mechanism, according to a release from the website of the department on Wednesday.
