According to media reports on Thursday citing police of Chaoyang District Public Security Bureau, a suspect surnamed Li, under the influence of alcohol, was involved in property destruction and has been placed under criminal detention. Media reports identified the suspect as actor Li Mingde.

Recently, residents of Chaoyang district, Beijing, alerted the police about a man vandalizing vehicles near a road in the Balizhuang area. The police conducted an investigation in accordance with the law. Frustrated by a vehicle improperly parked in a public parking space, which obstructed other vehicles, Li, under the influence of alcohol, kicked car doors, removed car emblems, and damaged side mirrors, escalating his actions into criminal vandalism. Li has admitted to the acts of vandalism and property destruction.

Li Mingde is a Chinese actor who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and made his acting debut in 2018 with the television series When We Were Young, where he played the role of Situ Er Tiao, earning recognition for his comedic and lively performance. Since then, he has appeared in several popular TV dramas, including Go Go Squid! (2019), Lovely Us (2020), and The Blue Whisper (2023).

Li has been trended on social media platforms after making allegations against the crew of his new drama, The Triple Echo of Time, and the alleged special treatment given to his former co-star Ma Tianyu. The drama kicked off filming in late December and by the beginning of this year, Li made several online posts calling out the crew for poor treatment and for allegedly showing preferential treatment to Ma, according to China Daily.
