In response to a media inquiry on Monday regarding South Korean authorities saying that DeepSeek will not be available to download in South Korea pending a review of its handling of user data, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that specific issues should be directed to the relevant Chinese authorities.

Guo emphasized during Monday's regular press conference that the Chinese government consistently requires Chinese firms to carry out overseas operation in strict compliance with local laws and regulations, and he also expressed the hope that relevant countries will refrain from politicizing or generalizing trade and technological issues as security concerns.
