A man drove to another province to participate in a ring toss game, spending 2,000 yuan ($275) for nearly three hours, finally winning the one-year using right of a Maserati worth 1.7 million yuan. Currently, the man plans to claim and use the vehicle in the coming days, domestic news outlet Jimu News reported on Monday.

At the scene, plastic stools were placed on the car's roof, with additional items stacked on top of the stools. Participants who successfully landed a ring on the topmost item were awarded the right to use the vehicle for one-year, as reported by Jiupai News.

On February 14, a man surnamed Wang from Binzhou, East China's Shandong Province, drove to Zhecheng in Central China's Henan Province after confirming with his local friend that the stall owner was still operating. He threw nearly 8,000 rings and finally landed a ring on the topmost item, said the report.

The incident quickly went viral online, with some netizens questioning whether it was staged. According to media reports, the stall owner denied these claims, stating that he had no prior connection or acquaintance with Wang.

Following a series of controversies, Wang said that due to the numerous online suspicions, he will no longer seek to convert the prize into cash. He plans to claim and use the vehicle.
